    I only really knew one person who continuously brought their dog to work, but I have to say he was very chilled out and that may have been the canine influence of man’s best friend.     Now I have talked about the popularity of Outlander in our household many times, my missus is pining for the series to return and thinks that winter isn’t the same without it. Well I can now reveal completely non-exclusively that the TV show is set to return on the 19th February next year. Well that’s one date for the 2020 calendar. And indeed I bought the good lady her made in Scotland diary as I always do supporting my old colleagues in Dalkeith. And now I hear that Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish  major stars from the series, Sam indeed plays Jamie Fraser the co-lead of the show, have started a Scots history  podcast.     I sometimes think that those who make decisions for us  on a national scale either have to seek out the back of an envelope or the Screwfix catalogue, because that is where I expect Police Scotland got their latest inspiration from in choosing the new unisex head gear for Scotland’s cops. It seems that different hats for male and female officers are to be phased out.  The phrases of the moment are ‘gender neutral’ and ‘discrimination free’ and that is the way that Police Scotland is determined to go, fair enough. Now the force, not the one from Star Wars, has told staff that it plans to introduce unisex headwear over a period of time. For as long as I can remember the men have worn a peaked cap marked with the force’s badge and a black and white chequered band, while women wear what is called bowler hat.
