Outlander Air Date Here
Now I have talked about the popularity of Outlander in our household many times, my missus is pining for the series to return and thinks that winter isn’t the same without it. Well I can now reveal completely non-exclusively that the TV show is set to return on the 19th February next year. Well that’s one date for the 2020 calendar. And indeed I bought the good lady her made in Scotland diary as I always do supporting my old colleagues in Dalkeith. And now I hear that Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish major stars from the series, Sam indeed plays Jamie Fraser the co-lead of the show, have started a Scots history podcast. Sam posted a video clip on his Instagram page from the Highlands to publicize the podcast to his many hundreds of thousands of followers. Avid viewers of the TV show will remember that Graham played the villain Dougal Mackenzie who was stabbed by Jamie Fraser on the eve of the battle of Culloden.
Sam Has Big News
Sam Heughan is now branching out and is setting up a company to sell authentic Scottish goods to the many. It seems he is about to launch his own whisky and give a boost to Scottish products in general and make them available across the internet. Well Sam we adore you in the house, but I have to break this to you gently, there is already a well established company out there, established in 1890, which sells authentic Scottish goods and at prices for the thrifty. There is none of you star appeal price hiking that customers might struggle to afford in these uncertain times. No Sam we’ve been at it a while, but should you need any tips then we are terrific fans and wouldn’t mind sharing a secret or two.
Gifties for the Thrifty Again
In the meantime at James Pirie we always try our hardest to get you the gift that you want at prices you’ll be happy to afford. Take the great stuff from Gillian Kyle, a graduate of Glasgow School of Art. She has a lovely range and Gillian established her Scottish homeware brand in 2006. Visitors in the summer might just catch me out in the garden in a pinnie, okay you can call it an apron, made by Ms Kyle. It is the unisex Tartan Stag Apron which is pretty necessary for BBQs on the beach.
