James Pirie of St Andrews has been one of Scotland's leading retailers of crystal, fine china and collectables since 1890. It was founded by unsurprisingly, a gentleman called James Pirie, who had a thriving bakery, but tired of getting up at 4am every morning he opened a china shop instead and furnished the mansions and town villas of fashionable Victorian St Andrews. Many of the classic products offered then remain as popular today.

Our collection includes the best in Scottish Design: outstanding examples of hand cut and engraved crystal by Royal Scot Crystal, unique paperweights hand made by Caithness Glass in Scotland and contemporary Just Slate products handcrafted by skilled craftsman in their Scottish workshops.

Our classic collectables, which are popular worldwide, include the exquisite paperweights of Royal Crown Derby, gorgeous bone china pieces from many of the Portmeirion collections as well a host of unusual and desirable gifts that we have selected for our Scottish Bazaar.
