Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness and Cheery James Pirie Offers

It’s October, at least for a little while longer and autumn is fully upon us with named storms and internet outages. The Poet Keats harpooned the season in his poem To Autumn:

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;…

Me and the missus have been to the Piazza di Spagna in Rome where the young poet passed away, and there must have been much more the young John to achieve, he was only 26. But that’s because autumn can make us melancholy, as can named storms that keep us locked inside when we’d rather be up and at it. I’m a bit autumnal at the moment as my missus has gone to darkest north Yorkshire to nurse a pal who’s had a serious operation and who is alone in a new house and a new area of the UK. So I’m probably a little more blue than usual.

So what can I do to cheer myself up, well a quick glance at the special special offers on the James Pirie website would gladden many a heart as the savings are immense (I’m a mite frugal myself you see).
