Race Track Wedding Puts Marriage in Top Gear
It was a day to remember as a Motherwell couple, auto- engineer Stevie Goldie and fiancée Cheryl Docherty, wed before tow thousand cheering fans at one of Scotland’s premier car sports events, Scottish Ford Live. The marriage they are sure will be on the right track.

This happy marriage of sport and romance happened at Knockhill, a track often used by the late lamented BBC TV programme Top Gear in its Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Hamster incarnation. Two hundred and fifty invited guests swelled the numbers at the race track and everyone boogied along to the Top Gear theme tune Jessica.
Front of the Grid
The ceremony was performed on the starting grid and the whole crowd got into the spirit of the day. The guests also got to go round the track in a specially prepared Aston Martin, so we hope the drinking didn’t start until well after the track day. Somebody else took the wedding snaps as professional wedding photographer Cheryl didn’t want a road race and a busman’s holiday all on the one big day.
