Fowl Play Suspected
Playing Chicken in the High Street
A hen party that went wrong or a dash for freedom from the clutches of KFC, we may never know. A large Rhode Island Red crossbred chick was rescued from outside a branch of Scotland’s favourite purveyor of fried chicken.
Hen Out of Cluck
The Hen was playing chicken with the traffic in busy Clackmannan Road in Alloa. No suspects have been found for this act of abandonment and the hen is currently helping the SSPCA with its enquiries and eating its way through lots of corn, but not in a family bucket. The hen was renamed ‘Peggy’ by animal rescue staff and she will go to a good home as far as possible from a fried chicken outlet. The re-homing centre has sent out a plea for a new home for Peggy.
Good Homes Required
We too are looking for good homes for some delightful birds. They are the creation of those fine people at BORDER FINE ARTS so might we suggest the lovely Keeping Guard which is a limited edition sculpted by Keith Sherwin and has a handy fifty quid off. That saving alone will buy a lot of Bargain Buckets, but buying this fine art piece will be treating yourself to a lasting pleasure
