Paws for Thought with Our Grand Summer Sale
I don’t know if you saw that couple cuddling at the Coldplay concert in the USA, but they were caught by what the Americans call the ‘Kiss Cam.’ When they saw themselves on the stage screen they flung themselves to the floor as front man Chris Martin heckled them saying, “ they are either shy or having an affair,” and guess what- they weren’t shy.
But at Glasgow’s newest festival the kiss cam didn’t find anything to shock as this event was for just dogs and their owners and other assorted humans. So if the cameraman hit paws, he didn’t find anything except happy canines and their contented owners. The festival was being held at SWG3 in Glasgow. The dogs could have their picture taken at the PAW-TRAIT Studio. They were able to exercise in the Fun Agility Area where experts showed dogs through their paces on obstacles and fences. Those with a sense of humour and a mystic streak could take their dog for a canine tarot reading. The reading was for the humans, but it was dog themed. I suppose they probably held it in a pup tent! And there was dog grooming galore with a doggy disco and many boutique shops to buy that perfect puppy present..
The essence of everything was that dogs add to our lives in many ways and help us be healthier in both the mind and the body with their demands for exercise and their perfect bond with us as loyal friends. The event was planned to give urban dogs a very different kind of outing and it was bound to be a resounding success. And in the picture is my friend Max.
