A Ewe-nique Attraction – James Pirie Grand Summer Sale

Mary had a little lamb, its fleece as white as Snow,

And  everywhere that Mary went , the lamb was sure to go

If like me you’ve have wrestled with a full size sheep, or large lamb you will know that they are amongst the most cussed animals for not doing what you want them to do. And their hooves are nasty weapons. My experience was with an escaped hogget, or yearling lamb and she was a wrong ‘un,terrified and terrifying.  But one man in Glasgow has a much better relationship with the beasties than my baaa humbug one.  He has been taking his lamb on the train attached to a dog lead. Which I found out is perfectly okay with ScotRail.

The lamb was first spotted at Paisley Gilmour Street station this week and the whole thing was captured on CCTV at going home from work time. It was quite the sensation with commuters delighted to have such a ewe-nique experience. The lamb belongs to an ex-Royal Marine who has complex PTSD and likes to take the lamb with him as a companion animal. The ex-serviceman has been helping rescue lambs for about ten years now and this lamb goes under the name of NJ and is one of two hundred he has helped. The lamb itself was the soul of calm as it was petted and stroked by all and sundry on the train, although one little girl said that the lamb had tried to eat her straw hat. The lamb story and all the fuss it has had  has led the ex-soldier to decide that he will travel alone in the future as too much attention is probably bad for him and the creature even though the lamb was well baa-haved. And for ScotRail it made a change from the usual slew of complaints about its service.

But one place you won’t find a slew of complaints is James Pirie, we’ve been in business since 1890 and we proudly stand by our tradition of great service and we think we are ewe-nique in our fantastic selection of great offer in our Grand Summer Sale with some amazing bargains with loads of money to be saved.
