James Pirie Adds to the Sum of Happiness
Are you happy where you live?
Do you worry that other places are more fun, safer to live in, cheaper, or more fashionable?
Well there are always experts to help you get a fix on how you should feel and they have determined that a Scottish city is the “happiest,”whatever that means, in the whole of the United Kingdom, and that city is Inverness! It scored nearly 8 out of 10 and was a “happier” place than Edinburgh, Glasgow, and English places like Oxford and Cambridge. I am not shocked, but I have no plans to move north to cash in on this new rating.
The facts come from the venerable Office for National Statistics which were analysed by travel experts and they determined the ancient city of Inverness was the bees knees and the cat's pajamas. It’s called a city, by the way, because it has an Anglican Bishop. Strangely enough I have never been to Inverness, but I am told it is a fascinating place with an ancient fortress with roots back to 1057, pre-dating the Norman conquest south of the border.
Well we here at James Pirie can’t help you live in a happy place like Inverness, but we can make you happier with our lovely offers and thoughtful gifts.
