WHO is Exterminating High Prices?
Now that storm Darragh is just about over we can all breathe a sigh of relief until the next named storm, which is bound to disrupt your Christmas shopping, comes along. Exterminate! Well that’s my lead into a story about a Dumfries man who is sending his life size Dalek off to a new home on Brora. As you now Daleks are from the planet Skaro or in reality the BBC’s props department and their line of patter was very limited to “resistance is useless” and “exterminate.” Which I suppose is pretty intimidating. The Dalek in question is 5ft 7 inches tall (1.7m), which is taller than the missus and it is made up wood, metal, a sink plunger and some old car lights. But it will make a handsome addition to the new museum when it opens in 2025 made as it was in the 1980s by an expert model maker.The Dalek will provide a chance of a selfie with the deadly killer cyborg, just the thing for the kiddies. Lots of fun! The funds raised will go to a well known medical charity.
Now we really haven’t tried to exterminate high prices but by jings we have certainly put the squeeze on them and there are many affordable gifts that will do the job this Christmas.
