Things to Do in Storm Floris1- Shop with James Pirie

It’s August it Must Be an Amber Weather Warning

Well Storm Floris, no that’s not Storm Florist is bashing across our shores, so that is a sure sign it is the summer holidays and  the kids are off school. We can expect 90 mph winds seems. If you want to catch a train down the East Coast Mainline you can’t. If you want to go to the Fringe on the Beach you shouldn’t. If you are planning on flying from Glasgow then your flight might be cancelled. If you fancy taking a double-decker bus  or walking across the Forth Bridge, you are out of luck. And if you fancy the skirl of the pipes, the clash of many feet in time and the grand spectacle of the Edinburgh Tattoo you’ll be disappointed. Oh and no ferries to the Isles and no planes there, nada!

I saw a picture of a kid’s trampoline that had blown onto the railway line between Glasgow and Edinburgh and it was the only thing on the line. No trains of course!

So if you are stuck inside, whether it’s a house, caravan or windblown tent, then cast your peepers on the end of the Summer Grand Sale that must finish soon.
