Shock: Forth Road Bridge Up for Sale
Shock: Forth Road Bridge Up for Sale
Well Known Auction Site Has Bridge Under Offer
The currently purely ornamental Forth Road Bridge has been placed on the Ebay site by a prankster and that has made us smile at James Pirie Towers. The page includes a photo of the bridge and a tongue in cheek product description of this non working structure suitable for scrap and dismantling
A Bridge Too Far But Not to Forfar
The ad says “Approximately 50 years old. Used daily until midnight last night. Not structurally sound but has exceptional scrap value. Buyer to uplift.” “I also have lilos and a ferry for sale.”
The bridge being out of action will cost Scotland some £50 million. The poster of the ad, nicelgin, has received a deal of grief over the entry on Ebay, but don’t worry Nic we saw the joke.
