Camping is Dead Long Live Glamping
Camping is Dead Long Live Glamping
The Horrors of Camping Banished
I have just had to explain the concept of “Glamping” to my missus, who is definitively against the ordinary sort of camping in Scotland’s pre Spring chill. But maybe I have changed her mind with the pleasures of log cabins as Hobbit retreats, or gypsy caravans without the wheels and log fires and recharging places for her iPhone. I just looked across for the thumbs up, but she is holding out on me and maybe I will have to find a more sensible way to celebrate Mother’s Day on March the 6th this year. I have learned to avoid the chocolates and fattening foods, “What you want me fat!”-and- the wilted flowers, “Were they on special at Tesco?”
Go for Quality Instead
Obviously she would recognise the quality of James Pirie’s offering but might equally obviously recognise the stuff from the catalogue and there would be hell to pay, not for the loveliness of the offering but it would be, “Can’t you drag yourself away from the computer?” Of course the sensible answer would be that’s why I suggested glamping by the loch when there are no midges about like last August.
Mother’s Day for the Women in your Life
But enough of that, time to tell you about how to wend your way through the perils of mother’s day for wives, partners and mothers - to celebrate the feminine ahead of the change of the seasons. Try the lovely Bailey puppy to put a smile of that face. Or we have put together a fine selection to choose from.

Oh and glamping just got the thumbs down!
