Meet Max the Dog
The dog in the picture is Max and he’s a part of the story today, because this week we have decamped away from the sea side to the depths of the country and to a friend’s house. We are looking after her after a knee operation and Max comes as part of the package. We have to walk his dogginess twice a day in the open country; and of course it is a delight. Points of information about Max, is he’s a black cocker spaniel and he’s almost seven years old now. He’s carrying a bit too much timber and so we’ll try and exercise some of that off him while we are here. He has the nicest nature possible and really likes his grub and eats meat, rice and vegetables once a day, kibble once too!
It’s now March the turn of the month has also seen the official start of Spring and daffodils are everywhere in the shops and as always in the current times nature is somewhat confused and lots of plants are trying to bud and the garden is full of snowdrops. However, looking at the weather forecast the snow and harsh are on the way. It is a reminder that the old adage about March being ‘in like a lion and out like a lamb’ and it has come to pass that snow and blizzards are on the way.
In preparation I have been busy bringing in logs from the outbuildings to stock up for the coming waves of cold nastiness and I’ll be shopping today for the next week so I don’t have go out driving in the snow and ice and risk falls, crashes and breakdowns, despite still having all my Long Johns from the Arctic adventure last month. I have been more nervous of drastic winter driving since I was convinced to get rid of my old Jeep, which was a dream to drive even in snow. MM, think I still miss it.
You yourself will be thinking all the same thoughts about the coming bad weather and that’s where we here at James Pirie can help you out. We can bring all the joys, or tribulations, of shopping to your fireside. With a cheerful delivery to your door and free gift wrapping so what better time can there be to take advantage of the keen prices and special offers and make a great purchase now?
I can't offer you your very own Max ashe’s spoken for, but the lovely people at Herend bring you Doggie Dazzle Rust a porcelain animal figurine This gorgeous Herend Doggie Dazzle with its typical fishnet or fish scale pattern is from Herend with a gold neck ribbon in a rust colour way.
