Let Me Spring Some Offers on You

Spring has sprung the grass has riz

I had the family here at the beach over the Easter weekend, so it was lucky that the weather was so good. The breeze was a little stiff, but we are hardy folk and wrapped up in the colder spells and stripped off in the warmer ones and managed to fit in some garden table tennis when the winds weren’t too strong. But spring has well and truly sprung and I’ve given the grass its first mowing of the year. I call it grass and I also call it Greta Garbo, because it ‘wants to be a lawn.’ Apologies for the terrible joke, I’ve only been telling if for twenty years.

We’ve also had the first the seagulls hoping to nest on our flat roof. I have to disappoint them every year. This year the disappointed  feathered friends have included Scotty and Shona, two pretty large herring gulls. Now Shona is a one footed bird, she must have lost it to frostbite or a fishing line, but she is incredibly determined and has attracted a mate in Scotty. You can see them in the picture roosting on our skylight for warmth. Which was all very well with the missus until they started having accidents up there and fouled the glass, or is that fowled the glass? So I had to get the ladders out and clean the skylights and discourage the nesters from setting up home. I’ve now also started on the annual repaint everything and Spring cleaning demanded by living next to the sea and its terrible saltiness. It wreaks havoc on everything; paint, metalwork, plants and people.

So if you want to take a rest from the hard work of the season then can I invite you to partake of our select little late Spring Sale? There’s a bunch of half price offers and in one case, there a 70% off on offer,  I can’t say fairer than that. And if you want that 30% price choose the Classic Collection Crystal Handled Wine Decanter from Royal Scot Crystal. We aim to please and hope you are well satisfied with these great offers.
