With a sick child having difficulty breathing Mairi Holden wasted no time worrying about parking when she dashed her son Oscar aged 4 to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. She gave no thought to anything except the well being of the kiddie, but when she got back after a long fraught night at the hospital she saw she had been ticketed, not once but twice.

Distressed but relieved that he son was better she had a second shock when she picked up the parking tickets and found that some good Samaritan had left a kind note and twenty five pounds towards the penalty notice. She was stunned and touched by the stranger’s generosity. So touched she would like to thank them for this early Mother’s Day present.
