Scrooges Need Not Apply –

Glasgow’s Santa Dash a Huge Success

You would have to have a heart of stone not to smile at the sight of 6,000 men and women all dresses as Santa Claus running through the streets of Glasgow. The 5km race is in its tenth year now and it is a huge success. It raised £40,000 for the nominated charity - the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

George Square Start and Finish

It starts at 10.00 am at George Square, although I would get there early, where it also finishes. The fun run is over 5 fun filled kilometres which this year is raising money for its nominated charity Aberlour. For fifteen quid you can register and they will give your very own Santa suit, available in a variety of sizes for men, women and children. The event is an all round hit with Glaswegians of all ages. If you want to participate you can enter on line and enjoy the run. If you just want to see the spectacle and go home with the broadest smile, just remember to put it in your calendar.
