Good News Bad News -

And the Great Dunblane Banger

Well I spent part of yesterday watching James Murray and Neal Skupski losing in straight sets in the Shanghai Open semi final after they had pulled off a great match against Novak Djokovic and  Filip Krajinović of Serbia in the quarters. It was a real shame neither of our guys fired up at the same time and they went out in straight sets to Jamie’s old partner Bruno Soares and likeable hothead Mate Pavic. A baddish day for the Murrays, but good news was on the horizon. Brother Jamie announced that wife Kim was expecting baby number 3 and anytime soon. Well they kept that under wraps didn’t they?  Naturally it will have to be fitted in around tennis as Murray junior carries on in his rehabilitation after drastic hip surgery in February this year.

Murray Hints and a Hot Dog to Remember?

Everyone is in the dark about the sex of the new baby and the family have not hinted at all or let the cat out of the bag. Sir Andy who has two grand slams and two Olympic gold medals to his credit was thinking about competing in the Stockholm Open, but he decided against this and chose Antwerp because it was easier to fly home from Belgium than Sweden. Andy and Kim already have two bonny daughters Sophia, three, and one and a half year old Edie. And to mark the occasion the butchers in Andy’s home town of Dunblane, where he has several commercial interests, have decided to make new product. They reckon it could well be sausage based, so let’s help them with a few names let’s not get square and be for Lorne about it. And not get carried away until we see the white puddings of their eyes. Yes in pun terms it could get a lot wurst! And judging by the butcher’s FaceBook page they have a sense of humour, they sell ‘breast enhancers’ and ‘butt rubs’ which are quite innocent dry rub seasoning to massage into chicken and pork respectively. They even make their own Cullen Skink which is crafted with fresh cream and baby new potatoes and you can have it as a ready meal, or as an individual pie. I think I’m in love.
