All Change for the Murray Brothers-
Both Andy and Jamie in the News
Jamie Murray, who has won a host of Grand Slam doubles and mixed doubles is changing it up with the announcement of the termination of his highly successful partnership with Brazilian Bruno Soares. Jamie feels that it is the time for a change. And his younger brother is also back in the news announcing he will return to tennis with a doubles partnership with Spain’s Feliciano Lopez. Now I had gambled last year that we might get to see my hero Andy again at Eastbourne this year and we are making the mammoth trek again, as we were lucky to see his return last year. But we will be disappointed as Andy is making his comeback at the Queen’s Club in London.
Great Scot He's Pain Free
Sir Andy won the Wimbledon men's singles title in 2013 and 2016 breaking the decades long hoodoo on a British winner at the championships. But Andy has not played since the Australian Open and had a successful hip resurfacing operation in January. It has enabled the Great Scot to be pain free for the first time in years and heralds a possible return to the main ATP tour in time. Queen's has always been a special place for Sir Andy and it's the perfect place for him to return. It's where he won his first ATP match, his first title in Britain and it is on grass. It is his most successful tournament overall. The tournament in London will start on Monday, 17 June - two weeks before Wimbledon begins. Sir Andy says he might play doubles at Wimbledon but ruled out competing in the singles this year.
