Wuff Justice- Narrow Squeak for Rescue Pup Echo
Wuff Justice-
Narrow Squeak for Rescue Pup Echo
Now some stories are just plain heartwarming like the story of Echo the Romanian rescue dog who felt the need of a stroll across the Forth Bridge at evening peak rush hour. It was on the Forth Bridge between North Queensferry and Dalmeny. The poor confused scamp was on the tracks for about 2 hours panicking and running back and forth numerous times and on each occassion avoiding the countless trains which were slowed to safeguard him Then help came when the owner, police and Network Rail guys boarded a train to retrieve him.
Hair of the Dog
The train driver a Mr Ross Scott from South Queensferry became the one to save the poor beastie from imminent death or injury and possible injury to the train passengers too. He saw Echo rolled up into a ball by the track near the south portal. After consultation with the signalman he stopped his train and got down and was able to catch a hold the errant pup. At which point another train stopped with the owner of the dog on board and the beast was happily reunited with its owner, amid much face licking and tail wagging I’m sure.
And Now a Sales Pitch Echo Would Like
Now here at James Pirie we are inordinately fond of our four legged friends and are always glad to see a happy ending and we wish Echo many more years of tail wagging adventure, but hopefully well away from the train tracks. Perhaps the train company can give him a season ticket! And certainly it was cause for a little celebration all round. And if you are celebrating, let me shoehorn a sales pitch in here eh reader; why not try one of our new lines? I recommend the Nouveau Saucer champagne glass, we sell them individually, but buy a couple and you’ll save £50. It’s a beautiful and elegant British hand cut saucer champagne glass. You’ve got to love its decadent appeal. One of the kids once asked when me when he was about 8 what decadent means. I’ll show you I said and ran a bath. When he was in the bath I put in lots of bubbles, then I brought him his favourite Asterix book to read in the bath and fetched him a sweet drink, a cake and toast; lots of toast. ‘That is decadent,’ I said. ‘More, ‘ he said. So join him in the deep pleasure of this lovely fineware, fit for any celebration.
