Happiness Survey Puts Scotland Ahead

Think Tank Says Scots ‘Get it Right’

A think tank has found out that Scotland is a terrific place to live, something its inhabitants could have told them, unless they were living in North Lanarkshire which was Scotland’s lowest ranked place to live, at 147 out of 170 places in the UK. This beat all those rich, plush southern places in the Home Counties.

Best Places

Best places were said to be the Western Isles and Orkney which have a huge sense of community and friendliness, according to the survey, closely followed by the Outer Hebrides and the Orkney Isles according to The Legatum Institute. Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire were ninth, with Shetland one behind in tenth.
