Holly and Phil - It Was All There to See
The signs were there when Phillip Schofield was reviewing the great Charles III coronation memorabilia on This Morning Live without normal co-host Holly Willoughby present and instead there was celebrity pawnbroker Dan Hatfield. They were there taking a gander at the goods, including our very own Coronation Paperweight with royal cipher. One television industry veteran, me, says: “Now with hindsight it was clear that there was tension between them when they didn’t review the paperweight and other upmarket memorabilia together.”
And now it has been announced that Mr Schofield, Phil to you and me, is stepping down as co-host of This Morning “with immediate effect.” Here at James Pirie we regret to see the end of a long lasting partnership that has graced the airwaves for some 13 years. Now Holly, 42, yes everyone always puts an age in, in these reports, will remain as a presenter on the show. And that’s a lot of commas too! In the ITV phrase she’ll be there along with other “members of the This Morning family.” Well Phil’s out of the family it seems. Rumour is he fell foul of a “developing feud “with Holly. Well we hope that missing out on reviewing our fine goods didn’t add to the tension.
Just so you don’t miss out on reviewing our fine goods I recommend you take a look at the very fine stuff we have for Father’s Day, or if you are having a whip round for a retirement present then you really should take a gander at our classy personalised retirement presents. Should you wish to gift a loved one or a colleague a 'Happy Retirement' present and congratulate them on their many years of hard work and dedication well you can say it with a beautiful James Pirie choice. You can have a standard, but still beautiful, piece of Crystal or engrave it with your own personal message or company logo. Do you think I should send this advice for Phil’s leaving present to the This Morning Live office?
