Have a Whale of Time Choosing a Father’s Day Gift

Do  you have a bucket list of things to do, I certainly do? And one of those things is Whale-watching . I have contemplated going to the North American continent and it would be the only reason to get me on a boat near the Antarctic , even though I applied to be a part of the British Antarctic Expedition when I was 16. Of course they turned me down as having no skills. I did well to avoid it really as anyone who goes has to have their appendix removed as the nearest hospital is a 13 hour flight away.

But now I can say I won’t have to go very far at all as there is an island in the nation that is the very best place to spot humpback whales in the UK. These are pretty big beasties and they can grow to be very large indeed. I am told that the adults are all between 14 and 16 metres long and weigh in at a hefty 36- 40 metric tonnes. And if you want see these magnificent beasties the place to go is to the island of Mull in the summer months and I am also told it is a paradise for whale watchers.  Ther are local tours that last about 4 hours and cost something like £75 and the operators say you can see humpbacks, minke whales basking sharks, bottlenose and common dolphins, , grey and common seals, along with harbour dolphins, and eagles galore.  Sounds wonderful and I am sure it is true.

And what is also true is the excellent value on offer for out Father’s day Offerings.

Packaged beautifully and making the ideal gift for a 21st birthday.
The Tankard is beautiful and my pint one was such a good design, I was thrilled, as it's not always possible to tell from the internet.
I will definitely order any future cut glass items from James Pirie - thank you.”
