Brave Heart isn’t Enough to Get Andy Through
Now as regular readers of this blog know I am a massive fan of the Great Scot Sir Andy Murray and it is with a heavy heart I have to say that the end of the road now looks to be in sight. He was set to face his old adversary Stan Wawrinka the Swiss three times grand slam winner in the first round of the French Open tennis and Andy was blasted off the court. I saw them play each other just before Andy went out of the game for a while, but both of them were coming back from injury , see the pic above. We’d travelled many miles to see Andy and we weren’t disappointed as we were on Monday. But Scots wha hæ and Andy triumphed that day.
There is still the chance of a last hurrah at Roland Garros in the French Open as Sir Andy is teamed up with Dan Evans in the men’s doubles. And the Olympics are only a few weeks away and Gold medal winning Murray who loves the event will be wanting to make a final splash there even if this is his last Wimbledon. It is undoubtedly true that this warrior Scot has earned a place in history.
Now he’s settling down he’ll have time like the rest of us to contemplate Father’s Day which is only a hoot and a holler away on June 16th and we have some fine gifts for the men in your life and with some handy Andy reductions.
