Dogs Are Smarter Than We Think

Dog IQ Test Now In

A team based in the capital have revealed new tests that measure your pooches IQ.  Scientists at Edinburgh University have been testing Border Collies and we can now tell how clever these amazing animals are. The tests will help us understand the link between health and intelligence. As we move to a more sedentary lifestyle and exercise less it is has become important to reassess how we cope with challenges and how far the drive to find food motivates intelligence. Border Collies are ideal as everyone acknowledges this breed is among the smartes, as well as the most useful, in the canine world.

Health and Intelligence Links

The study suggests that canine intelligence is akin to human in vital areas of survival skills. The team discovered that in hunting and food gathering situations our thought processes are similar. Dogs are an important way to explore things because unlike us humans they don’t bother with smoking and drinking and generally speaking don’t do stuff that would harm their health. Although that hasn’t applied to some of the dogs that I have owned which have shown a tremendous appetite for mayhem and lunacy, including my red setter, Whisky, who nearly bankrupted me stealing fish off the slab from the fishmonger around the corner.

Beautiful, Lovely and on Offer

Well I haven’t had a Border Collie to call my own, not unless it was hidden in the genes of the various terrier mongrels I have delighted in, but you can have your very own timeless Border Collie to marvel at every day. At the moment it has a handy fifty pounds off and is called the Joys of Motherhood and features a Border Collie bitch and her two pups. It is sculpted by the excellent Ann Wall.
