Where Seagulls Dare! And a Valentine’s day Reminder
It’s very shortly Valentine’s Day and I have to remind everyone that James Pirie is an excellent place for a quality gif for that very special day, but I must admit I have been distracted by flying nuisances, Seagulls: Or more specifically a pair of them.
Now as regular readers of this blog will know I live next to the sea and the house resounds often to the call of the gull. Now most birds are tough, they live in nature and have to be resilient, but seagulls go that extra mile for downright horribleness and irascibility. Now we have a flat roof, which is in fact the best kind for the huge winds that we get, but it also means somewhere for the dreaded gulls to roost. Now you may not know this, but seagulls are a protected species, so my lying on the roof with anything more than a disapproving smile is a no go. And at 7lbs for an average weight they can be downright dangerous when swooping, ask any postie round here. I’ll just have to go up regularly and clean up the mess and any potential nest. Sometimes you have to do the routine stuff just to keep ahead of the game.
And in terms of your relationships with the women in your life you really have to do the stuff to keep ahead of the game. It isn’t enough to remember birthdays and the ever important Valentine’s Day at the last minute you have put some thought into to and to keep the flame burning, or at least smouldering!
