February Already –
St Valentine’s Day is Upon Us
I swear I don’t know where January went! Okay I did have eye surgery and am still somewhat restricted in what I can do, no lifting heavy loads, no dusty environments and so forth, but I am still shocked it’s February. And that is a big month, not only does the wife have her birthday in the second week, but on the 14th it is the one day you can’t forget, St Valentine’s Day.
A Website of Many Colours
Now since I’ve had the eye op, next one tomorrow I have to say that the colours on the James Pirie website look so dramatically changed. What I thought was good was in fact spectacular, the photography I thought was decent was very very good. Well you live and learn. But if you forget St Valentine’s Day it won’t do you much good, so I’m busy myself trawling for ideas and for something that says ‘I haven’t forgotten, ‘I still love you’ and ‘No I didn’t panic buy it at the petrol station.’
Tips for St Valentine
Of course it’s made up celebration, those darn Victorians again giving us much more than effective drainage and draughty houses. But that won’t do you a speck of good if you forget your loved one on the day. So here’s my tips: Firstly try and remember what you bought last year; Secondly think where in the house it could go; Thirdly what’s the budget?
Sweet Pea?
Now my missus has almost everything, well she has me after all, but she does like to sit down with a cup of tea and the Sudoku, or the crossword, so I figure that I should buy here something just for her and those moments of Zen-like quiet she achieves then. So I think it will be this delightful and traditional Botanic Garden Teapot with a sweet pea motif and is a lovely way to serve tea. And guess what I call her my sweet pea. Job done!
