Engraved with a modern 'LOVE' design, these coupes will make the perfect gift for Valentines Day, Engagements, Weddings or just a lovely gift for someone special in your life.

Add a touch of vintage chic to your barware with these Classic Collection Saucer Champagne Coupes. These beautifully crafted glasses offer a modern twist on the antique coupe, perfect for serving champagne, sparkling cocktails, or even elegant desserts.
The glasses feature the iconic, shallow saucer (coupe) bowl set atop an elegant, graceful stem. Crafted from premium, clear crystal.

The wide, shallow bowl is historically associated with early champagne drinking and is ideal for modern sparkling cocktails like a French 75 or classic Champagne Cocktails, as it provides ample space for mixing ingredients. While the wide shape allows delightful aromas to develop (making it perfect for highly aromatic beverages), the coupe is also a versatile and stylish vessel for serving chilled desserts, sorbets, or prawns, making it a truly versatile and elegant addition to any entertainer's collection.

Supplied in a red, card gift box with silver foil blocking.

HISTORY OF THE COUPE GLASS
The Retro Coupe Glass is an elegant stemmed saucer champagne also suitable for cocktails. The flute for a while has become the preferred glass for sparkling wines, but this wasn't always the case. Before the flute, the coupe was the glass for Champagne. This petite bowl or saucer-shaped glass has a rather raunchy origin! Legend has it that the coupe glass was moulded from Marie Antoinette's left breast, and that she wanted her court to toast her health by drinking from glasses shaped like her bosom. However, the glass was actually born long before the reign of the queen, in 1663 in England. It was one of the first, if not the first, glasses invented specifically for drinking Champagne.
